°° Link: an alternative to Facebook with decentralized info : Diaspora °°

Quite some people are worried about what happens with their info and pics on Facebook. Especially now that Facebook goes to the stock exchange, worries increase. Facebook stocks all info on their local server to which no one has access. A couple of NY geeks decided that a decentralized stocking of data in an open source way of working would be a good alternative. They called the project "Diaspora". Click here to check out the funding of their project or here to follow their site. Should be launched after summer. Nice interview in the NY times.

For the sheer beauty, we share these pics of Lagonda cars, founded in 1906. The founder of Bentley left Bentley for Lagonda in 1935 when Bentley was sold to Rolls Royce. In 1947 Aston Martin bought it.
In the early sixties they had the Rapide model:
The Aston Martin Lagonda model is mainly known from the early eighties and remains controversial. At the exhuberant price of a Bentley Mulsanne, driving a max of 230km/h, stuffed with fancy but crappy electronics, they made 645 in 13 years:

The line up of the next Los Ninos on Jan 21 is finalizing. Joy Wellboy has been on an extended US inspiration tour. While they were there, they made several videos from contrasting locations and did some gigs. The video below is from Death Valley.
They also released a video for their track "Bill me later". And several djs started to remix their tracks. What an adventure!
Needless to say we are so happy that they will be performing at our next party at Recyclart !
