The bubble house is in Tourette-sur-Loup, near Nice (France). The construction started in 1970. The design is by Antti Lovag, a Hungarian architect inspired by shapes and forms found in nature. Along the same coast Pierre Cardin too bought a bubble house. All are considered historic monuments. Some are now for rent as a holiday house.

East London based writer/producer MODE has had an infatuation with music since he first sat at the piano aged just 4 years old. From this introduction in early childhood, music became an integral part of his life. A proficient pianist and percussionist, he left home aged 18 to study Classical Music at Goldsmiths College in London. Here he was exposed to new sounds and cultures stretching far beyond his classical background. After university, and having discovered a love of electronic music, MODE began writing and experimenting with various styles. Frustrated by technological limitations, he undertook a diploma in Audio Engineering to learn more about recording and production techniques. This has allowed him greater creative control and the ability to formulate and develop a distinctive sound, whilst his traditional background ensures deep harmonies, evocative melodies and solid structural writing in his work.
Lo Fi Odyssey marks MODE's first official release. The track is an entirely original piece and grew from the rolling rhodes chord progression, stumbled across whilst jamming late at night. Having laid down the rhodes with a driving beat and syncopated baseline the rest of the track is constructed layer upon layer achieving a full, rich texture all wrapped up in analogue warmth. The title is derived from two vital elements of the track. The harmonic foundation lies in the distorted 'Lo Fi Rhodes' whilst the hypnotic solo melody is performed on a 1970s vintage 'Arp Odyssey' synthesiser. Lo Fi Odyssey is the amalgamation of the two. This title felt even more appropriate when considering the links between the track and the story of 'The Odyssey'. The structure and compositional technique of 'theme and development' reflect those implemented in Homer's epic poem. The idea of the track being a journey is highlighted further by the sampling of a train passing by the window of the flat in Hackney where it was written.

We would like to thank everyone for coming. We didn't expect you in that great numbers but it was most wonderful to see the swimming pool filling up!
It is always difficult to do events in new locations that are not meant to be party locations. We regret the queues at the toilets and apologize for this inconvenience.
Most likely there won't be a second time soon in Bains::Connective as we agree (with pain in our hearts) with the mayor that the dense neighbourhood should not suffer too much from party noize and other consequences.
We would like to thank over 100 people who have collaborated to make this party happen. A special thanks goes to Bioplanet for it's continuous support!
Photos and amateur video will be put online as soon as we can.
